About Us

Our Story

JSmith Civil, LLC began as BridgePoint Civil, LLC in 2016, offering ground clearing and site preparation to clients in and around Eastern North Carolina. Founder, Jeremy Smith, wanted to create a business unlike any he had experienced; a company grounded in simple, but powerful core values—a company that would value and embrace the uniqueness of each of its employees. With teamwork, safety, integrity, excellence, innovation and community at our core, we provide an unparalleled value to our clients and the communities in which we work.

Jeremy Smith’s modest company has evolved into a diversified heavy civil construction company with more than two hundred employees. JSmith Civil continues to grow, with offices in Goldsboro and Raleigh NC, servicing projects across all of North Carolina. From the beginning, we’ve heavily invested in the best people, latest project management software, GPS, and equipment to help our people deliver the highest quality for our customers.

While production is key, JSmith Civil spends an extensive amount of time focused on culture and treating people right. We are honest, we work hard, we build each job right the first time, and we take responsibility for all outcomes. It’s that simple. We’re happy with how far we’ve come, but we’re hungry for a whole lot more. Thanks to our teams in the field and office, we’re continually improving and are incredibly excited about our future.

Our Core Values are at the Heart of Who We Are.

Teamwork

Our team is our company. Our family culture is built on teamwork, respect and trust. We respect the ideas and opinions of others, share knowledge and support each other in the Company’s goal to achieve excellence.

Safety

We make no compromise when it comes to safety. Our mission is to provide a safe work environment for all our team members, while also protecting the general public affected by our projects. If a workplace or work practice is perceived to be unsafe, we will not proceed until the issue is resolved.

Integrity

Our business is built on integrity, fairness and honesty—qualities at the foundation of every project. We say what we are going to do, and we do it.

Excellence

We have extremely high expectations for ourselves and for our work. We strive to be the best at what we do in everything we do. We make every effort to ensure that our workmanship, construction practices and services are the best in the business through continuous improvements in quality, safety, and innovation.

Innovation

We strive every day to better our tools, our processes and ourselves to build better. As our clients evolve, we pioneer new approaches to meet and anticipate their needs.

Community

Positively impact the communities we serve. Give back. Leave the world a better place than we found it.
