JSmith Civil Awarded Multi-Million Dollar Highway Contract.

Construction will begin this fall on widening and improving the safety of a 1.5-mile stretch of North William Street (U.S. 117) in Goldsboro. Bridgepoint Civil LLC of Pikeville(now JSmith Civil) will widen the road to four lanes with a raised median between the U.S. 70 Bypass and U.S. 70/U.S. 13. The N.C. Department of Transportation awarded a $15.3 million contract last week. Work can get underway after all utilities have been relocated, which is expected to be complete by September.
